It is my role to coordinate efforts so we can work both together and independently. Much of the work on Film Gimp is done by developers working at motion picture studios. We are very fortunate to have open source Film Gimp. Typical studio tools are proprietary secret software. Everyone should try to make the programmers and studios feel that working with open source is a positive experience that should be continued into the future.
I am currently finishing the Windows port of Film Gimp and involved with many other Film Gimp tasks.
Beyond Film Gimp, I am a partner at MovieEditor.com, a motion picture technology company. I write the graphics column at Linux Journal. And, I lead two users groups, LinuxMovies.org and OpenSourceProgrammers.org. Those meet monthly in the Berkeley vicinity and have world-wide mailing lists. If you care to know more about me see my longer bio or my press.
